TOFU DIP

Ingredients

In the food processor, mix:

  • 1 tofu block (340g to 350g)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice (juice of about half a lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) finely chopped onion, chives or white parts of shallots
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 ml) fresh basil
  • 1 small carrot, finely grated
  • ½ teaspoon (2 ml) sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon (1 ml) garlic powder or a small garlic clove, pressed
  • Pepper, to taste

 

Preparation

Keep refrigerated.

Serve with raw vegetables:  carrots and celery sticks, cauliflower and broccoli florets, mushrooms, peppers cut into sticks, sliced cucumbers, etc.
