BAKED MAPLE SYRUP PIE

BAKED MAPLE SYRUP PIE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) margarine
  • 2 organic eggs, beaten
  • ¼ cup (65ml) milk or alternative milk (soy, rice, almond, etc.)
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) whole wheat pastry flour
  • Chopped walnuts, optional
  • 1 rolled-out pastry, uncooked

 

Preparation

Heat the maple syrup and margarine, enough so that the margarine melts.

Mix together the eggs, milk and flour.

Gradually add the hot syrup to the egg mixture while mixing constantly.

Pour the mix into an uncooked / raw pie crust.  Sprinkle with walnuts.  Bake in the oven at 350 F (180 C) for 30 minutes.
