Apple butter

Ingredients

• 2.7 kg (6 pounds) of organic apples ( McIntosh or Cortland )
• 1.25 L (4 cups) water
• 2 cans of maple syrup

Preparation

1. Remove the heart of apple, peel and cut into four pieces.
2. Cook for 30 minutes until the apples soften.
3. Puree.
4. Stir in maple syrup and boil gently for 1 hour. Stir regularly
5. Pour into jars and sterilized in boiling water for 10 minutes, from the time the water boils again.

Servings: 8 pots of 250 ml
